Introduction

As a group we have been practicing the Japanese Martial Arts together for over 35 years. The arts studied have ranged from Kempo (a competitive form of full contact fighting), Ju-Jutsu/Yawara (close quarters hand to hand combat), Ken-Justu (sword & knife fighting) and to Jo-Jutsu (staff and spear arts).

Over the years we have trained from many venues, including the Liverpool YMCA, Liverpool Trades Union Centre, John Moores University, Toxteth Afro Caribbean Centre, Alfie Lewis Centre of Excellence, The Blackie, the (now closed) St Helens Judo Centre, and the Lancashire Gracie JuJutsu Academy in Ormskirk.

Following the Pandemic, and due to work commitments we ceased training at the Lancashire Gracie JuJutsu Academy. Currently we are training from the small private Dojo of a long standing personal friend near St Helens.
